How do I edit or delete a post?

  • Updated

We understand that the editing process is never truly finished. There are a couple of ways to edit or delete posts from your page if you have second thoughts.

Editing or deleting a post on desktop

Make sure you follow this guide while in your creator profile. You can switch to your creator profile by clicking your profile picture in the bottom-left corner and clicking on your creator profile.

  1. Click on the My Page button from the left-hand side if you aren’t already there
  2. Click the Page controls “...” button
  3. Click on the Manage posts link from the submenu
    • Scheduled posts will be at the top and include text above that reads: “Scheduled for [date] at [time]”
  4. You’ll land on the Posts tab, where you can find your scheduled and published posts
  5. Locate the post and click the Edit or Delete button, depending on what you’d like to do

Alternatively, you can:

  1. Use the filters and search bar on your feed to locate the post you want to edit
  2. Click the Edit or Delete post button at the bottom of the post (above the comment section)
  3. If you’re editing a published post, be sure to click the Save button to make your changes live

Editing or deleting a post on the Patreon app

Make sure you follow this guide while in your creator profile. You can switch to your creator profile by tapping your profile picture in the top-right corner of the home screen and tapping on Switch to creator profile.

Are you a per creation creator?

If you’ve ticked the option to charge members for a post and delete that post within the same month, any pending bills for members will be deleted. This means any members with pending bill(s) for a paid post will not be charged if you delete your post within the same month it was created.

Additionally, if you’ve published a post as unpaid, you cannot edit the post to retroactively bill members. If you forgot to select the option to charge members, we recommend deleting the post, and creating a fresh post – don’t forget to select to charge members.
