Follow a creator

  • Updated
If you’re wanting to subscribe, or what we refer to as “become a patron” to a creator, you’ll want to review our instructions on starting a membership: Become a patron of a creator
Following a creator is a free way to bookmark pages you are interested in joining. Whether you aren’t financially ready, or just want to learn more about how this membership thing works, you can follow and unfollow creator pages at no cost.

How to follow a creator:

  1. Log in to your Patreon account.
  2. If you have the creator’s direct URL, you can plug that into your address bar, or you can search the creator’s page name in the search box.
  3. Scroll down and click the Follow button directly under the creator’s membership offerings. When the bottom reads Following, it means you’ve successfully followed the page.
  4. We’ll redirect you to the creator’s membership tiers page where you can become a paying patron if you’d like. If you’re not ready to join, you can exit the page
The next time you visit your home page, the creator’s public posts will be listed in your feed

You’ll find a list of the creators you follow on your home page, in the “Following” section.

How to unfollow a creator:

  1. Log in and visit your home page.
  2. Locate the creator you want to unfollow under the “Following” section.
  3. Scroll down and click the Following button directly under the creator’s membership offerings. Once clicked, the button text will switch to saying Follow, this is how you know you’ve unfollowed the page.
When you unfollow a creator, their public posts will no longer appear in your post fee. You can still see a creator’s public posts directly on their page, but you won’t have them listed in your personalised feed anymore.
