Can I backdate my posts?

Yes! You can now organise your posts in the exact order you want them to appear on your members’ feeds by backdating your posts (i.e. setting your posts’ publication dates to the past). This tool is especially useful for sharing content that didn’t get posted on time or simply making sure your posts are presented in the order you prefer, ensuring your members see your content as intended.

How to backdate your posts

When creating a new post

  1. Click Create from the left navigation and select Post
  2. Add a title to your post (this is required)
  3. Depending on the type of post you want to create, use the options at the top of the editor.
  4. You can immediately start typing anything you’d like. This can be a description, an update or something you want to share with your audience
  5. (Optional) Attach files to your post if you’d like to share downloadable content with your members.
  6. If you upload audio or video, you can:
     • Turn on the Add to podcast option to distribute your content through your members’ RSS feeds, allowing fans to listen to your content on their favourite platforms. Learn more about enabling RSS feeds for your members
     • Schedule posts as a drop, letting fans experience content together with real-time chats. Ensure the Make this a drop toggle is turned on. Note that drops are currently only available to creators in the All audiences category – learn more in our Drops guide
  7. In the right-side editor, toggle the Set publish date option and select your publish date and time
  8. If you don’t want to notify members, go to the Email and notifications section in the right-side editor and toggle off Allow members to be notified when this post is published
  9. Click the Publish button at the top of the page, and you’re all set!

  6. Tap Publish date, and toggle Set publish date
  7. Select your publish date and time
  8. Tap Publish in the top right corner to confirm

When editing a published post

  1. Select Creator studio from the left navigation and click Library
  2. In the Posts tab, you can find all your published and scheduled posts
  3. Scheduled posts will be at the top of the list, and include “Scheduled” below the Publish date — Locate the post you want to edit and click on it
  4. The post editor will open, and you’ll be able to make any necessary changes
  5. If you want to adjust the release date, go to Set publish date and change the publish date and time
  6. Click the Update button to save your changes

  1. Tap Profile on the bottom menu
  2. Tap Manage posts 
  3. Tap the post you want to edit – scheduled posts will be at the top and include text above that reads: “Scheduled for [date] at [time]”
     • Tapping on the scheduled post of your choice will allow you to continue editing that post, including the date and time of publishing
  4. To adjust the date, first tap on Settings in the top menu
  5. In the Publish date option, toggle Set publish date and adjust the publish date and time
  6. Tap the Save button to confirm the changes
