Patreon’s getting a new look! As you may have noticed, we’re updating our navigation for creators. Part of this change includes reorganising some key dashboards. Now, you’ll see the vital information about your membership, earnings and posts in a single, unified view under Insights.
Please note that the new experience will start rolling out on 23 May 2022, across web, iOS and Android apps. All Patreon users will experience the updated navigation by June.
Earnings overview
Once we process a payment, we subtract any fees and refunds, with the remainder flowing into your Creator Balance. This dashboard summarises the flow of funds based on when the transactions occurred. The “Declines” column shows the value of all declined payments in a given month, which updates as charges are recovered for you automatically. Learn more in our guide on the Earnings Dashboard here.
Posts overview
Your Posts Dashboard gives you an idea of your posts’ engagement. You’ll see how many times your posts have been viewed, liked, commented on and where your patrons are coming from. Learn more in our guide on Posts Dashboard here.
New Membership insights
In the Membership dashboard, you’ll be able to filter by 30 days, 6 months, the past year, and all time. You will also be able to parse your memberships by current patrons, patron count by join date and cancellations. In the new dashboard, you’ll be able to do all of this broken down by specific tiers – and it all directly connects to your Relationship Manager. Now you can get as detailed, or big picture as you’d like!
Additional data dashboards offer insights into Tier activity (upgrades and downgrades), per month earnings estimations, and memberships by charge frequency. Now you can get as detailed, or big picture as you’d like!
Creator home metrics and key actions overview
Where can I find my average earnings and patron count?
On your new Membership dashboard in the Membership summary section, we’ve included your estimated patron count and per month earnings.
This number fluctuates depending on your patron count, adjustments to pledged amounts, declines and cancellations. We display annual pledges as their monthly equivalent (annual pledge amount divided by 12).
You can also access your average earnings and patron count on your public page view, but don’t worry – if you have your earnings set to private, only you’ll be able to see these numbers.
Here’s how you can check these numbers on your creator page:
- While logged in to your creator account, click on the My page button from the left sidebar navigation
- Then, click on the Page controls, or “...” button
- Select the option to view your page as Public – your public-facing numbers are listed below any tier offerings you have
You can learn more about how we calculate these numbers in this Help Centre article: Understand the numbers listed on my creator page
