When you cancel your membership with a creator, that creator is removed from your Active memberships page. Any bills that have processed with that creator will still be listed in your Billing history page, along with your supported periods.
Cancelling your membership with a charge up front creator
If your creator charges patrons up front, you’ll have access to the creator’s patron-only posts for the remainder of the month listed in the Supported period in your Billing History page.
To get to your billing history:
- Hover over your profile image in the top banner to open the "user menu."
- Click on the "Manage memberships" link from the user menu.
- Click on "Billing history" from the menu bar.

You’ll know a creator charges up front if the Supported period is listed as the month that the bill was created in your billing history. (Image above: Bill created on August 1st, supported period August).
Example:
- You’ve paid your membership payment on August 1st for the entire month. If you cancel your membership on August 15th, you’ll still be able to access the creator’s patron-only post until the end of the month. So on September 1st, your access to the creator’s patron-only posts will be removed.
Cancelling your membership with a per creation creator
When you cancel your membership with a per creation creator we’ll immediately submit payments for any pending posts to your payment method – so if the creator has already made paid posts that month, your payment method will be charged for those pending payments once you cancel.
After you cancel your membership, you will no longer have access to the creator’s patron-only posts or benefits without an active membership. You can repledge to regain access.
Any posts you had access to while you had an active memberships are listed on your billing history. To view them:
- Hover over your profile icon in the top banner to open the "user menu"
Example:
- You have a $5 membership with a per creation creator with a monthly max of 2 posts. Your creator makes a paid post on May 16th, and then again on May 19th. Pending bills are placed on your account as soon as your creator publishes these posts. You cancel your membership on May 20th, and we immediately submit your pending bills to your payment method for a total charge of $10 ($5 x 2 paid posts).
Cancelling your membership with a monthly charging creator (not charge up front)
After cancelling your membership with a monthly charging creator, you immediately lose access to the creator’s patron-only posts, and will not receive future billing for the creator. With monthly, non charge up front creator’s, you are billed for your membership on the 1st of each month for the previous month’s access.
Example:
- On October 20th you cancel your membership with a monthly charging creator. You’ve not yet been billed for your October access, and lose access as soon as you cancel the membership. Your last month of support will be listed under the "Details" section of your Billing history page.

Once you've cancelled a membership, the creator will no longer be listed in your Active memberships page. You’ll have the option to "Repledge" to the creator in your Billing history page if you'd like to support them again in the future.
