What is a Waitlist on Patreon?
Waitlists allow people to sign up to be the first to know when your page goes live. It's intended for creators who have not yet launched their Patreon page to gauge overall interest and demand from their community. Having a waitlist helps build anticipation and excitement for your Patreon page launch.
As a creator, how do I get access to the waitlist feature?
We are testing with a subset of creators who meet the following criteria:
✅ Creators who have never published their Patreon page
✅ Creators who create content for All Audiences
✅ Creators have verified their email address
Over the coming weeks we’ll learn more about how to build the best waitlist experience for both creators and their community. We look forward to sharing our learnings with you throughout testing. Please join our Discord community to stay in touch.
Once this feature is ready for general availability, we plan to make a broad announcement and update this page.
How do I turn on/off my waitlist?
If you are part of the testing group, you can enable your waitlist or it off in your Creator Settings.
What happens when someone joins the waitlist?
You can see how many people have joined your waitlist in the Relationship manager. People who join your waitlist will be the first to know when your page goes live — we’ll send them an email letting them know your page is open for membership.
Can I see who is on my waitlist?
You can see the number of people who joined your waitlist in the Relationship manager, but not the names or emails of people who have joined. We’ll validate that email addresses on your list are unique, so there aren’t duplicate sign ups.
Do people need a Patreon account to join my waitlist?
People won’t need a Patreon account to join your waitlist. When they’re ready to join your page, they’ll be prompted to create their Patreon account to become a member.
