This article will cover what happens after you choose to pay out your account balance and when you should expect to receive them. This also covers any payout locks or holds you may encounter after initiating a payout.
If you are a brand new creator on Patreon, please note that there will be a 5-day hold in place from the date of adding your first payout method, or from the date of receiving their first payment. This is applicable to charge upfront billing as well.
When you withdraw your balance on Patreon, it typically takes 1-3 business days to reach your PayPal or bank account. Please note that you can only pay out once every 24 hours. If you try to pay out again within this timeframe, a notification will let you know the exact time and date that you can next payout.
If you find there's a message stating that your transfer may take up to 10 business days, that is because our team is running a few checks on your account due to the volume you've processed. This is part of our effort to keep creators and patrons safe on our platform.
Once those checks are complete, you'll receive an e-mail to let you know that your funds are on their way.
Payments made with Sofort Direct Deposit are reflected in your Creator account balance until funds are available for withdrawal — typically 7 business days. Learn more about how Sofort Direct Debit works for patrons.
