What you need to know about selling posts and collections:

  • Only creators on Subscription billing can sell posts and collections
  • At the moment, only creators in the All Audiences category can sell posts and collections
  • You can sell posts that can be accessed by members, free members, or all members. Public posts cannot be sold
  • Any posts and collections set for sale can be found in your Shop tab. Fans will be able to see any posts and collections you’ve set for sale in your Shop once your Shop is published
  • Any collections can be listed for sale, but empty collections will not be visible to fans
  • Existing members won’t be impacted if you set your posts or collections for sale. Those with access through their membership will retain access, while lower-tier members can buy access or upgrade their membership

How to list a post for sale

If you have work your fans will love, consider setting it for sale as a one-time purchase.

What fans see

You can use the Preview feature to see how your post or collection is viewed by the public on your page.
Fans will see a Buy button with the listed price alongside the option to unlock the post or collection by becoming a member. Your work will be locked, and any images will be blurred until they choose to unlock it.

Once your Shop is published, fans will be able to see any posts and collections you've set for sale directly in your Shop tab, making it easier for them to discover and purchase your work.

If this is your first time setting something for sale, your Shop will automatically become visible to your fans. However, if you've previously added items to your Shop and have not yet published it, it will remain hidden from your fans until you publish your Shop.

If a fan buys access to a post or collection, the purchased content is immediately unlocked, and fans can find it in their Purchases tab. They don’t need to be a free or paid member to purchase or retain access to content.

If your collection is empty, it will not be visible to fans until a post is added.

You can still edit, add, or remove work after setting it for sale. Fans will be able to see any edits or additions, even if they were made after their purchase. If you remove content, consider refunding fans or informing them of the change.

Consider telling your free members and off platform fans that they can now purchase your work as a one-time purchase or unlock it through your membership. It can be as simple as a text post targeted to your free members or sharing Promo cards on your other accounts for a more visual effect.

Track your sales

To check your earnings from the products and collections you sell, navigate to the Insights page and click on the Shop tab. Here, you can see your earnings for each product and identify your top-selling items.
