Patreon and Breaker are teaming up to make setting up your patron-only podcast even easier!
By connecting Breaker with Patreon, you’ll be able to create podcast content that is only available to your patrons. These exclusive patron-only shows and/or episodes will be available on the Breaker website and in the Breaker iOS app.
Note: This feature is currently in beta.
Follow these steps to set up the Breaker integration:
Step 1: Log in to Breaker
Step 2: Visit your dashboard in Breaker.
Then click on your user photo in the upper right and select “Upstream Dashboard”.
Step 3: Create a new podcast on Breaker or import your existing podcast.
Do you have an existing podcast on Breaker? If so, you’ll need to reach out to upstream@breaker.audio to import it into your dashboard as a patron-only podcast.
Want to create a new podcast or add a show that has never been on Breaker before? Click the “+ Add new show” button.
Step 4: Connect with Patreon.
Whether you created a new show or imported an one, you can now connect your podcast with Patreon. Select the “Edit details” button. From the edit screen, select “Connect with Patreon (Beta)”.
From here, log in with your Patreon creator account and click “Allow” to accept the permissions.
You’ll be returned to your dashboard on Breaker, where you can select your patron-only content.
Step 5. Create a patron-only show.
If you would like your entire podcast to be for your patrons only, select the patron tier(s) that can access your podcast. Select “Publish” to publish and then “Save".
If you view your podcast on Breaker, you’ll see that it has the option to “Become a Patron” in order to subscribe to your show and listen to episodes.
Step 6: Creating a patron-only episode.
If you would like your show to be public, with certain episodes marked as patron-only, select "Exclusive to Patreon patrons” but do not check any of your tiers.

You can also select a baseline tier for your entire podcast and then make individual episodes at a higher tier.
To add a new episode, click the “+ Add episode” button for your podcast on the dashboard. Then, fill out the information for the episode.
Turn on “Exclusive to Patreon patrons” and select which tiers will have access to this episode. Select “Publish” and then “Save”.
When you view this episode on Breaker, you will see that it has the option to “Become a Patron” in order to listen.
