Exploring ratios

Because you can upload larger format images, we have included a larger version of each ratio – just know that on any screen it shows no wider than ~1080px in the feed.

Resizing by inches rather than pixels
It’s best practice to size your images by pixels if you’re saving for the web, that said, if you prefer saving images by inches, there is an often-used formula for converting from pixels to inches. In order to do this, you’ll need to have the DPI (or resolution) of your image.
Once you know your image DPI, do the following formula: Divide the pixel dimensions by the resolution

Safe bets
It's a safe bet to save images between 1500 px and 2500 px wide. Search for "Save for the web" or "Optimize for web" on your image editing software and use that feature.
High-resolution images
We do optimize post images for the web and varying devices. If you are using our Image post option, the optimized version will populate in your post feed. When patrons click on the image, the image will expand to its original uploaded size.
If you want patrons to have to access a high-resolution file of your images, we recommend uploading your images as an attachment to your posts, especially if you are adding images inline to text posts. Please note that your attachment files must be 16 MB or less.
