How to make changes to your account (desktop)

In this guide, we’ll list out all of the changes you can make to your Patreon patron account. Here’s what we’ll cover: 

• Managing your profile Basics
• Managing your Account settings

• Managing your Patreon Email notifications

Managing my patron profile Basics 

To get to your Basics page:

1. While logged in to your patron profile, click on the Settings button from the left navigation menu. This will take you straight to the Basics page 

Here’s what you can change on your Basics page: 

• Profile image/avatar 
• Display name
• Account email address
• Country of Residence
• State or Province of Residence (if applicable)
• Postal Code (if applicable)

Managing my Account settings 

To get to your Profile settings:

1. While logged in to your patron profile, click on the Settings button from the left navigation menu
2. Click on the Account link from the menu bar

Managing my app integrations

If your membership gives you access to a Discord server, you can link your Discord account here to receive your role.

Follow these steps to connect or disconnect your Discord account:

1. While logged in to your patron profile, click on the Settings button from the left navigation menu
2. Click on the Connected Apps link from the menu bar
3. Click the Connect or Disconnect button

If you are switching your Discord account, you may need to clear your cache and cookies before going through the above steps to reset things. 

Managing my email notifications

Here’s how to control which emails you receive from creators you support as well as which Patreon announcement emails you receive:

1. While logged in to your patron profile, click on the Settings button from the left navigation menu
2. Click on the Email notifications tab from the menu bar
3. Deselect any email notifications you wish not to receive
4. Click the Update email settings button

You can adjust your email notifications settings at any point!
