Patreon’s Community Guidelines act as the guardrails detailing the sorts of behaviours that are permitted and prohibited on Patreon. As a creator, your account may be suspended by the Trust & Safety team if it features frequent or severe violations of those guidelines.
How will I be notified that my Patreon page has been suspended?
If your creator account is suspended, our Trust & Safety team will send a message to the email address associated with your Patreon account. You will also see a banner at the top of your page when you log in. We encourage you to consult our Community Guidelines to understand the violation(s) on your Patreon.
Can I make other changes to my page in the meantime?
While you work with Trust & Safety to make any changes needed for your suspended page to comply with our guidelines, you retain the ability to edit, create and delete posts, change your benefits and message your fans. However, during this period, your members will not be notified when you publish a new post and your page will not show up in a search.
Should I inform my fans that my page has been suspended?
We recommend that you inform your fans about your account suspension by publishing a new post. You will be unable to send DMs, post comments or participate in chats while your account is suspended.
What happens to my pledges, my fans and my funds?
While your creator account is suspended, your existing members are not billed and fans are unable to become new members. When the account suspension is lifted, existing members whose bills were scheduled within the previous seven days are then billed. If the creator under suspension is also a member supporting other creators on Patreon, their member pledges will continue to be processed during the suspension.
Am I able to process a payout while my creator account is suspended?
If your creator account is suspended due to a violation of Patreon’s guidelines, you will still be able to process a payout.
Can I appeal the Trust & Safety decision?
If you believe that no violation occurred, you can reply to the email notification from Trust & Safety with additional evidence supporting your claim, and your case will get another look from a member of the team.
