This article will go over what fans see when they visit your Patreon before joining your community. Terms we’ll use in this article:
- Fans = visitors interested in your Patreon who haven’t joined yet
- Members = fans who have joined your community as a paid or free member
What fans see when they visit your Patreon
Depending on your page settings, here's what your fans will see when they visit your page:

Your page is where your creative work shines, making it easy for fans to connect with everything you offer.
- Showcasing your brand: Give your page some spotlight with new design options. Update your cover photo, header and background colour to give your page a fresh look and make it easy for fans to explore
- Customising how your work shows up: The new Home tab is now the default landing page, replacing the traditional reverse-chronological post feed. You can customise this tab with different modules or shelves to show more than just posts and highlight collections, shops or other parts of your portfolio. This helps fans see a broader view of your work at a glance
- Helping fans discover your work: You have the power to guide fans through your page by choosing which modules to display first, such as recently launched items or collections. This way, fans will immediately see what is most important, allowing you to control the fan experience and prioritise how your work is presented

- The contents of your Patreon: Including your page name, profile image, cover image, about section, and links to social media accounts you've connected to Patreon. You can edit the contents of your Patreon from the Basics page settings
- Your membership tiers: If you offer paid memberships, your tier titles, prices and descriptions will be publicly visible on your Patreon. You can edit your membership title and description by visiting the Membership tab of your creator homepage
- If you don't offer paid tiers, or you've opted to have free membership more prominent on your Patreon, fans will see the call to join for free. Learn more about deciding how your free option shows up for fans.
- Contents of public posts: If you create a public post, the contents of the post will be publicly visible on your Patreon
- Your Shop: If you sell digital products through Commerce on Patreon, your shop will be publicly visible on your Patreon. You can unpublish products that you no longer wish to sell. Learn more about editing products
- Posts: When fans visit your Patreon, your 20 most recent posts will be listed on your homepage; however, fans will only see the content of posts you published publicly
View your Patreon as a fan
You can view your Patreon as a fan whenever you'd like; here's how:

- While logged in to your creator profile, click on Dashboard from the left-side menu
- On the Home tab, click on the Edit page button, and a new page will open with a preview of your Patreon

You can select the view you want to see using the dropdown menu at the top of the page – choose from Paid member, Free member or Public, as well as from a Computer or App perspective
- An alternate way to view your Patreon as the public does on a Computer is to use the “...” icon next to the Edit page button and select View page from the list
- In the App, when logged in to your Creator profile, tap on the Patreon icon in the right-hand corner, and you’ll land on your page

- While logged in to your creator profile, click on Dashboard from the left-hand navigation
- Click on the “...” icon to open the Page controls button
- Select Edit page
- Then click on Preview

- An alternative way of viewing your Patreon as the public does is to use the following URL: https://www.patreon.com/user?fan_landing=true&view_as=public . You can now navigate your Patreon page as a public user
- In the App, when logged in to your Creator profile, tap on the Patreon
icon in the bottom right-hand corner, and you’ll land on your page
