  • At the moment, discounts are only redeemable for new paid members to your Patreon, and won’t work for existing paid members.

  • No, discounts are only applied for the first month or the first year, depending on what you choose to set up. Fans can only redeem the code once.

  • Yes! You can set up product discount codes alongside your membership discounts. Product discounts can apply to items in your shop, and these can be used independently of membership discounts.

  • You can set up multiple product or membership discount codes at a time, but only one sale can be publicly shown at a time. There is a waiting period of 7 days in between public sales.

  • Your fans can still add your discount code during checkout, which will override the free trial. If you have a public sale shown, the free trial option will not show up.

  • Membership Discounts:

    • Public discounts can remain visible for up to 31 days.
    • Individual discount codes can be active for up to 180 days.

    Product Discounts:

    • There is no time limit for how long a product discount can remain active.
  • For membership discounts:

    • Minimum discount: There is a minimum discount amount of 5%.
    • Maximum discount: There is a maximum discount amount of 90%.
    • There is also a minimum transaction amount of $0.50 regardless of the discount. So if your tier price is $1 and you set a 90% discount, it will still be transacted as $0.50.

    For product discounts:

    • Minimum discount: There is a minimum discount amount of 5%.
    • Maximum discount: There is a maximum discount amount of 50%.
    • There is also a minimum transaction amount of $3 regardless of the discount. So if your item is priced at $3.25 and you set a 50% discount, the customer will receive a $0.25 discount and pay $3, as the minimum for USD items is $3.
  • If you have Autopilot turned on, membership discounts can be complementary. With membership discounts, you can run more targeted or time-bound discounts, while Autopilot can continue running in the background automating offers and converting new paid members you might not have had before.

  • No, they can only redeem one discount during checkout. If you’re running a discount publicly displayed on your page, the best offer will be automatically added during checkout. They can also change the discount code to another one they have access to at checkout.

  • For membership discounts, each unique code can be redeemed multiple times as long as it is currently active and the fan redeeming it does not have an active paid membership to you.

For product discounts, customers may use a unique code for multiple purchases while it is active.

  • For membership payments, there is also a minimum transaction amount of $0.50 regardless of the discount. So if your tier price is $1 and you set a 90% discount, it will still be transacted as $0.50.

For products, there is a minimum transaction of $3 (in local currency). Any discounts that would make a product lower than $3 will be applied only up until the price reaches $3.
