Payments are queued on the 1st prior to processing. If you ever have a question about our site status, check out our status page, https://status.patreon.com/
You’ll find that payments are queued at the start of the 1st of each month (Pacific time - from San Francisco) and are processed throughout the day. Processing payments after queuing ensures that we can have a smoother payments day for creators and patrons.
Payment processing typically completes within 24 - 48 hours, so you'll want to check your Patron Relationship Manager at the end of the day to confirm the status of your patrons
You may have noticed your payments began processing a bit later. Your pledges will be queued at the start of the day (PST) like always but we'll be making a change to when we process them so our team can be on-hand in case there are any issues. This means you may find your payouts arrive a bit later in the day than you're used to.
Additionally, as Patreon grows, we have to process a much higher number of payments. The way we processed payments a few years ago might not be the most sustainable today or in the future. We're committed to continually improving payment processing to make it faster and more reliable.
Moving the time we begin processing payments is the first step in improving this process. The best way to track when your patrons' pledges have processed is the progress bar in your payout balance.
What does it mean when my payments are queued?
It means that your patrons' payments are in line to begin processing. You can check the progress on your payout balance, and payment processing usually completes within 24 - 48 hours.
How does payments queueing benefit me as creator?
Queuing payments early and processing them over the course of a full day improves stability in our payment processing. After 24 - 48 hours, you can visit your relationship manager and filter through your patrons to review their status and determine when to send out rewards.
Note: We regularly reattempt declined payments and email your patrons to alert them to their failed payment. Read more about that here: I have declined patrons! Will you charge them again?
