Who is a teammate?
Running a creative business often means multiple people are helping to get things done on Patreon. For example, maybe one teammate manages benefits and another is primarily in charge of posting.
Rather than sharing a login for one creator page, a team account lets teammates manage their responsibilities within their own accounts.
Team leads have sole access to financial and income-related actions. Because of this, teammates are best assigned to people who manage member interactions (posting, quipping, messaging, and responding to comments), or who revamp the creator page (editing tiers and benefits, creating a special offer, or managing the benefit tracker).
What if a teammate used to be a creator?
Teammates can't have a current or previous creator page (that includes unlaunched creator pages and accounts reverted). Ask the prospective teammate to create a brand new account and accept the invitation on that account.
Teammate permissions
Teammates can't be a member of the creator account they help manage. If the prospective teammate is currently a member, they need to cancel their membership first.

Note: Teammates can create posts and quips. Starting Lives isn't available to them.
What teammates can't do
Teammates can't:
- Access financial data or actions, including Payout settings and the Earnings dashboard
- Block or unblock members
- Add or remove teammates
- Open the creator's account settings, except the blocked users list
- Join, upgrade, or gift a membership
- Change the creator's email, password, or memberships
Because teammate quipping is web only right now, teammates cannot access any developing Quip features that are mobile-only.
Switching between accounts (Web only)
On web, teammates get a new navigation with an account switcher. It lets you move between your personal account and the creator's account whenever you need to. Only teammates see the switcher.
To switch accounts:
- Select Your account
in the bottom left corner
- Select the creator's account
To switch back, repeat step 1 and select your own account.
Your personal account is your own member experience, with your home feed and memberships. The creator's account is where you act as the creator.
Once you're in the creator's account, you can quip, see the creator's feed, and like and comment on other creators' posts as the creator. It's the creator's feed, not yours. Your personal feed stays in your personal account.
Posting as a teammate
When teammates post, quip, comment, or like as the creator, members and everyone else see it as coming from the creator, not the teammate.

If a teammate leaves the team
If a team lead removes a teammate or revokes their access, that teammate can no longer act as the creator. It takes effect right away.
Mobile
Account switching and quipping are available on web only for now. On mobile, teammates keep everything they can do today.
Settings
Teammates will have access to both their personal settings and a limited version of the Creator's settings.
To get to each settings, they just need to use the account switcher, make sure they're in their personal or creator account, head to the bottom left corner and click Settings. The settings of whichever account they're in will show up!
The limited creator settings they have access to should be the same though.
