Cancelling a free membership

You can keep your free membership as long as you’d like. However, you can cancel if you no longer wish to receive updates about the creator’s work. This article has instructions for cancelling a free membership on a desktop and on the Patreon app for iOS and Android.   1. Click Settings from the left-side menu (if you’re also a creator, click Your account in the bottom-left corner and select Settings ) 
  2. On your Settings page, click the Memberships tab (if you’re also a creator, go to the Account settings section and click on Memberships)
  3. Locate your free membership and click More
  4. Click Cancel membership
  5. Your free membership is cancelled – you can rejoin whenever you’d like

  1. Tap the shortcut at the top-left corner of the Home screen to see a list of the creators you support
  2. In the Free section, tap on the desired creator from the list
  3. Tap More in the top-right corner of the screen
  4. Tap Your membership
  5. Tap Leave membership
  6. Your free membership is cancelled – you can rejoin whenever you’d like
