Navigate the Patreon app as a creator

  • Updated

If you're a member on Patreon and don't create, visit our guide on Navigate the Patreon app as a member.

The Patreon app helps you stay connected with your members and manage your Patreon on the go. You can create and share your work, chat with your members, monitor your stats, and more.

To get started, download the latest version of the Patreon app for your device:

The app has a bottom menu with five tabs that help you navigate: Home, Library, Create, Chats, and Profile, from left to right. The sections below explain what each tab does and how to use it.

  • When you log in, you'll arrive at the Home screen. This is where you can browse content from the creators you support and discover new ones, alongside managing your own presence on Patreon.

    Your feed

The Home screen is split into two tabs:

    • Home: A discovery feed showing posts from creators you don't yet follow, alongside creators you already support. Posts from creators you're already a member of are always prioritized
    • Memberships: A feed reserved entirely for posts and Quips from creators you're already a member of. Use this tab to keep up with your existing memberships without the discovery mix

Besides the Home and Memberships feed, there's a shortcut in the Home tab that lets you quickly see a list of the creators you support, so you can jump straight to a creator's page and catch up on their latest posts without scrolling the feed.

    Search and discover creators

Tap the Search icon in the top right corner of the Home screen to search for creators by name or topic, and to discover new ones. You'll see personalized suggestions based on your past activity, current memberships, and popular categories.

You can swipe left to browse creators within each section or tap the arrows to go through the full list:

    • Search: Type a creator's name or topic in the search bar to quickly find what you're looking for or discover something new
    • Topics: At the top of the page, you'll see taglines related to your interests. Tap on them to browse top and trending creators in those topics
    • Recently Visited: This section helps you easily return to creators you've recently explored. Tap More next to their name to remove them from history
    • Creators for you: Find other creators based on your memberships
    • Popular this week: Creators who are currently trending on Patreon
    • Explore Topics: Browse through a wide variety of topics and genres to find content that sparks your interest
    • New on Patreon: Discover fresh creators who have recently joined the platform
    • Top creators: Suggestions based on your past activity, memberships, and browsing history

If you're not interested in a particular creator, tap the three dots next to their name and select Not interested to remove them from your suggestions.

Creators who are 18 years and older can update their settings to view Adult/18+ creators. To learn more, visit our guide Find creators on Patreon.

    Notifications

Tap the Notifications icon in the top-right corner of the Home screen to view your notifications. Notifications are split into two tabs:

    • Your Patreon: Notifications related to your page and members, such as new members who joined, comments on your posts, or collaboration invitations
    • Your memberships: Notifications related to the creators you support, such as new posts or updates from pages you're subscribed to

Tap on a notification to review post engagement, respond to comments, message new members, or keep the conversation going in chats.

  • The Library tab is where you can find all content saved or in progress as a member. You can tap the arrows to go through the full list.

The Library is organized into three sections:

    • Recently played: Audio and video posts you've been listening to or watching, listed in order of recent activity
    • Recently viewed: Posts you've browsed recently
    • Saved posts: Posts you've saved for later

Tap the Settings icon in the top right corner of the Library tab to manage:

    • Delete finished downloads: Removes audio and video posts from your device once you've finished listening to or watching them, helping you manage your storage
