Noticing something new? If your Patreon app looks different recently, it's likely because a creator you support has joined Patreon's network features. You now have access to a Home feed for discovering new creators, a Memberships feed to keep up with creators you already support, and Quips, short public posts from creators. Nothing changes about your existing memberships or how you access content from the creators you support. If you're also a creator on Patreon, visit our guide on Navigate the Patreon app as a creator.
Patreon is where you can access exclusive podcasts, videos, art, writing, recipes, courses, music, and more from your favorite creators, and build community with both the creators you love and other fans.
To get started, download the latest version of the Patreon app for your device:
The app has a bottom menu with tabs to help you navigate. The sections below explain what each tab does and how to use it.
-
When you log in, you'll arrive at the Home screen. This is where you can browse content from the creators you support and discover new ones.
Your feed
The Home screen is split into two tabs:
- Home: A discovery feed showing posts from creators you don't yet follow, alongside creators you already support. Posts from creators you're already a member of are always prioritized
- Memberships: A feed reserved entirely for posts and Quips from creators you're already a member of. Use this tab to keep up with your existing memberships without the discovery mix
Besides the Home and Memberships feed, there's a shortcut in the Home tab that lets fans quickly see a list of the creators they support, so they can jump straight to a creator's page and catch up on their latest posts without scrolling the feed.
Search and discover creators
Tap the Search icon in the top-right corner of the Home screen to search for creators by name or topic and discover new ones. You'll see personalized suggestions based on your past activity, current memberships, and popular categories.
You can swipe left to browse creators within each section or tap the arrows to go through the full list:
- Search: Type a creator's name or topic in the search bar to quickly find what you're looking for or discover something new
- Topics: At the top of the page, you'll see taglines related to your interests. Clicking on them takes you to a page featuring top and trending creators in those topics
- Recently Visited: This section helps you easily return to creators you've recently explored. You can also tap More next to their names to remove them from history
- Creators for you: Find other creators based on your memberships
- Popular this week: Stay updated on what's popular. This section highlights creators who are currently trending in the community
- Explore Topics: Browse through a wide variety of topics and genres. From niche interests to broader categories, this section makes it easy to dive into different types of content that might spark your interest
- New on Patreon: Discover fresh creators who have recently joined the platform. This section showcases up-and-coming talent, giving you a chance to support and follow new creators early in their journey
- Top creators: Based on your past activity, memberships, and browsing behavior, this section suggests creators that align with your interests
If you're not interested in a particular creator, simply tap the three dots
next to their name and select Not interested to remove them from your suggestions.
