Customize your creator page URL

  • Updated

Let’s put your personal stamp on your creator page by customizing your Patreon page URL (your direct link)!

In this guide, we'll go through these two topics:

As of April 3, 2019, patron-only account URLs are no longer customizable. Creator pages can still customize their URL.

Customizing your URL

Changing your URL will not affect your existing patrons, messages, or redirect your old URL.

Patrons will simply find a new URL when next they visit your page. We suggest you alert your patrons before changing your URL so they can update any bookmarks corresponding to your page.

Here's how to change your URL or customize it for the first time:

  1. If you aren’t already on your page, click the My page button from the left sidebar navigation
  2. Click the Page controls or “...” button, then click on the Edit page link from the submenu
  3. In your Basics section scroll down and click into the Patreon page URL text box to enter your custom URL
  4. Click the Save changes button to finalize your custom Patreon page URL. The change will take effect immediately, and you can start sharing your URL with potential patrons as soon as you've made the change!

What if the URL I want is already claimed but seems inactive?

If the URL you want is already claimed, you'll be met with a red error message, letting you know that that URL is already taken. Patreon custom URLs are claimed on a first-come, first-served basis.
