Charge up front billing: |
Cancelling stops monthly membership renewal, however, you’ll have membership access for the remainder of the month you cancel in.
You will not be refunded any amount for payments you’ve already made since you’ll still have access to the creator’s Patreon page. If you decide to rejoin in the same month you cancel in, we’ll prorate your membership payment any amount you’ve already paid the creator that month.

Monthly billing: |
Cancelling stops monthly membership access and future billing. If your payment has declined we will reattempt to process your payment for the creator.
Once you cancel, your access to the creator’s content on Patreon as well as any integrated benefits, like Discord, are revoked. Because you haven’t yet paid for your patronage in the month you cancel, your access is instantly revoked and you won’t be billed further.
Cancelling a membership does not remove any pending or declined payments. If you have a declined payment, we will reattempt your payment for the creator.
If you rejoin the creator’s membership there is no immediate charge, and you can expect to be charged on the 1st of the month after your join date.

If you rejoin the creator’s membership, you’ll be billed for any paid posts created after you rejoin (up to your monthly max).

- You are charged for your May paid posts on June 1st.
- Creator makes a paid post on June 2nd, generating a pending bill for your account.

|
Annual billing: |
Cancelling stops annual membership renewal, however, you’ll have membership access for the remainder of your annual term.

What does “credit” mean?
If you are a patron to a creator who charges up front, you may see a “credit” line item if you make adjustments to your membership. This credit is referencing the amount you’ve already paid that creator for the current month. So if you upgrade, that amount will be credited to your upgraded amount.
For example: If you’ve paid $40 USD to be in a charge up front creator’s tier, and later upgrade to their $60 USD, you’ll see $40 USD “credit” leaving a total of $20 USD to be charged in order to upgrade.
Credit cannot be used for payments to other creators and is not refunded if you downgrade after paying.
