FAQ

  • The minimum price for a ticketed live is $3 USD, which is the same minimum as other one-time purchases on Patreon. You can set your ticket price above that amount based on the value of your event.
  • Ticketed lives follow the same fee structure as one-time purchases on Patreon. Fees are deducted automatically when a fan purchases a ticket.
  • Yes. If you choose to publish the Live replay after your event, all ticket purchasers automatically get access to it. When publishing the replay, you can also choose to:

    • Open it up to all members
    • Limit it to paid members only
    • Sell it separately as a VOD

No matter which option you choose, anyone who bought a ticket to the live event will keep access to the replay once it’s published.

  • If you cancel or delete a ticketed live, all ticket purchasers will be refunded automatically. If you don’t start your ticketed live, it will be automatically cancelled 15 minutes after the scheduled start time, and ticket purchasers will be refunded automatically.
  • Yes. For refunds outside of cancellations or no-shows, ticketed lives follow the same refund process as other one-time purchases on Patreon.
  • To protect fans and keep payouts predictable for you, Patreon places a temporary hold on ticket earnings until the live is complete. The usual fees and rules of one-time purchases also apply to Ticketed Lives. Learn more about one-time payments and payouts here.
  • Fans can purchase a ticket in a few different ways:

    • When they see your Live event directly on Patreon (on web or in the app)
    • When they visit your Live using a link you’ve shared

Both members and non-members can buy tickets. If you’ve made the Live available to specific membership tiers, those members can join without purchasing a ticket.

  • After purchasing a ticket, fans will:

    • Receive a confirmation email with access to the event
    • See the scheduled (or in-progress) Live on patreon.com and in the Patreon app

They can use either the confirmation email or the Live entry point on Patreon to join the event when it starts.
