Why wasn’t I charged this month?

  • Updated

Creators can pause membership billing while their Patreon remains accessible to members. Creators who bill members per creation may skip making a paid post to prevent charging their members for a month. If you aren’t sure whether or not you should have been charged, you can always check your Memberships tab to check your active membership and message the creator to check in with them.

Reasons why you may not be charged

  • There are a few reasons why a creator might pause their page. They might be on holiday or didn’t have enough time to make a post this month. We encourage creators to let their members know why they’re pausing their billing, so check your creator’s recent posts for any announcements
  • Another reason why you might not have been charged is if your creator is on per creation billing and has not created any paid posts this month. You can check if your creator charges per creation by visiting your Billing history

If you’re concerned about a gap in benefits, feel free to send your creator a message directly. Here’s our guide to help you send your creator a private message.

For now, you can sit back, relax and enjoy. Creators can pause billing for multiple months; however, your payments will likely continue automatically next month.
