What is a Proof of Income letter?
A Proof of Income letter (also sometimes known as an Income Verification letter) is an automatically generated document on official Patreon letterhead that shows your creator earnings from the past number of months.
You can use this letter for things like:
- Housing applications
- Loan applications
- Other financial processes that require income verification
The letter includes:
- Your creator name
- A summary of your total earnings on Patreon for the selected calendar year (excluding refunds)
- Your estimated monthly earnings, which are based entirely on your earnings to date. (We think you can beat this!)
- Patreon’s company details and official letterhead
How to request your Proof of Income letter
You can generate a Proof of Income letter instantly from your account. Here’s how:
- From your creator page, go to your Payouts on the left-hand side
- Select the Documents tab
- Scroll to the Proof of Income section
- Choose the year you’d like to generate a letter for
