As of May 27th, 2026, Patreon offers all creators more ways to manage how your memberships and activity show up across Patreon. As part of this, we're updating some defaults around membership and activity visibility, and replacing the Full public profile and Community profile settings with new, more granular controls. Read more about these details below. These settings are currently only available for creators.
This article outlines what controls Patreon gives you over the visibility of some of your membership and activity information. You can choose whether your memberships are shown publicly and whether your activity may be highlighted to others.
You can also manage other privacy settings in this tab, including sharing your email with creators and Email import preferences.
How to access your membership and activity visibility settings
- Click Personal settings (or Settings if you haven't combined your profiles yet) from the left side menu
- Select Privacy from the menu bar
- Find Membership & activity visibility and click Edit
- A pop-up will open with your visibility controls
Show my memberships
This toggle controls whether your memberships to creators will be shown publicly on Patreon, including on creator profiles and across Patreon's activity and home feeds.
- When this is on, your memberships to creators will be shown publicly
- When this is off, your memberships to creators will not be shown publicly
- If this global setting is enabled, you can also choose whether to show your membership to a specific creator publicly — see Hide visibility by creator below
Highlight my activity
This toggle controls whether your activity (e.g. likes and comments) may be highlighted in others' feeds and whether people will see an activity tab on your creator page.
- When this is on, your activity (e.g. likes and comments) may be highlighted in others' feeds, and people will see an activity tab on your creator page
- When this is off, your activity (e.g. likes and comments) will not be highlighted in others' feeds, and people will not see an activity tab on your creator page
Activity on paywalled posts stays within that paid community, but, subject to your controls, can be shown to other paid members in that community, including on the home feed and your creator page. Only members of that creator's applicable paid tier(s) can see it.
Hide visibility by creator
You can choose whether to show memberships publicly for specific creators and whether to highlight membership activity for specific creators. Under Hide visibility by creator, you'll see a list of your active and past memberships.
For current memberships, you'll see two checkboxes:
- Hide membership — choose whether your memberships to this creator will be shown publicly
- Hide activity — choose whether your activity in that creator's community may be highlighted, including in others' feeds and on your creator page
For past memberships, you'll only see the Hide activity checkbox if you had previously chosen to hide that activity.
- If you've chosen not to highlight your activity preferences for a specific creator, those settings will be saved even if your membership ends. However, you'll only be able to adjust membership preferences for creators with whom you have an active membership.
When you're done, click Save.
