In May 2019, we first introduced new creator plans and fees. Creators who joined before this date were placed on a discounted founders-only plan, 5%, that gave them the same features as when they first joined without any additional costs. This enabled creators to keep the features they were used to without having to pay more, plus a few extra features that were not previously available.
If you joined Patreon before May 7, 2019, and haven’t since made disqualifying changes to your creator page, like unpublishing it or changing your plan or currency, you’re on the Founders plan.
What’s New with Patreon Plans
Six years later, Patreon has expanded beyond just subscriptions to include media hosting, community, and discovery. We’re releasing even more tools to help creators grow and engage with their biggest fans more directly, including better discovery to help creators grow, and rolling out livestreaming to more creators.
For the creators who have been with us on this journey, we wanted to honor your commitment and the massive role you have played in our transformation. We also wanted to minimize any impact on your business, which is why prices were not increased for you or anyone with a published Patreon page that launched on or before August 4, 2025.
In August 2025, we updated pricing to a standard 10% platform plan, plus applicable taxes, and standardized payment processing rates for new creators who published their creator page after August 4, 2025.
If you published your creator page by August 4, 2025, and it hasn’t been unpublished since, you're on a legacy platform plan. If you unpublish your page (or Patreon does), your account will move to the standard 10% platform plan, and standard payment rates will apply.

The plans listed below are Patreon’s legacy platform plans. Creators who publish their creator page after August 4th, 2025, were placed in the standardized 10% pricing + applicable taxes and processing fees applied to their account.
