Paying out your earnings

  • Updated

Creators are now required to combine profiles

As part of Patreon's Network Discovery updates, creators and members will gradually see a more unified experience across Patreon. That means some steps in this article may look different depending on whether your accounts are already combined.

If you created your Patreon account recently, you may already have a single profile. If you don't see a prompt to combine, this doesn't apply to you.

Who does this apply to

  • Creators (including creators who are also members and support other creators): Combining accounts creates a single identity for both creating and membership activities. You can combine your accounts now through July 6, 2026 (previously June 30, 2026). Starting on July 6, 2026, combining will be required
  • Members-only (no creator page): You may notice navigation updates as these changes roll out. Once the creators you support join the network, you'll also get access to a new feed. No action is needed from your side

What may look different for creators after combining profiles

  • One identity: Your name and profile image are the same everywhere, whether you're creating or interacting as a member
  • One inbox: Notifications and messages are unified in a single place
  • Updated navigation on desktop and mobile: You may see updated labels and entry points that reflect a single, combined experience, including fewer profile-switching steps

Learn what's changing and how to get started in our article about combining your creator and member profiles into a single identity.

So, you got your first paid members or, perhaps, your first customers have purchased your digital products, and we've processed their payments. Now let's get you paid out!

Your share will be available in your creator balance once we process membership payments/product sales and applicable fees. You can find a breakdown of your earnings and fees by checking your Insights dashboard.

Once funds are available to withdraw, you can pay out your balance manually, wait for the automatic payout on the 5th of the month (if enabled), or keep funds in your balance. You can leave them there until you’re ready to withdraw (note: please read our Unclaimed Funds article for more information).

Deposits typically arrive within 10 days, depending on your payout method. If it's taking longer, refer to this guide to get answers: Where is my Payout?

How to set up your payout method

First things first, let us know where to transfer your funds! We offer different payout methods depending on your location, including PayPal, Payoneer and bank transfers where available. You’ll see the options for your country when setting up your payout method. To learn more about the different payout methods, visit our dedicated article on Adding your payout details.

  1. Log in to your Patreon creator page on Desktop or mobile web
  2. Click the Settings button on the left navigation side
  3. Click Billings and payouts tab
  4. Click Add payout method and follow the prompts

An automatic 5-day payout lock is placed on your balance whenever you add or edit a payout method.

How to pay out your balance

  1. Log in and click the Payouts button from your creator menu on the left side
  2. Click the Withdraw button. If this button is grayed out and your current account balance is $0, please check your Relationship Manager to review your paid members’ membership history – depending on your chosen billing method, they may not have been charged yet
  3. Learn more about our billing options for creators in this article: Billing my members
  • Funds from one-time purchases on Web and Android will appear as pending for up to 7 days before they can be withdrawn from your balance. Funds from product sales and membership purchases made via iOS in-app purchases will remain pending for up to 75 days before they will be available for payout, accounting for the time Apple requires to process and confirm the funds

You can payout once every 24 hours. If you have automatic payouts turned on, this counts as one payout. However, we may cap the number of payouts available per month if payout costs and patterns change dramatically in the future.

How to set up Auto Withdrawal

You can tell us to trigger your balance payout every month on your behalf with our Auto withdrawal feature. Once enabled, auto withdrawals occur on the 5th of each month.

  1. Log in to your creator account
  2. Click on Payouts from the menu list on the left side
  3. Click the Edit button next to auto-withdrawal
  4. Click Turn on to enable auto-withdrawal

Now, we'll send any balance you have to your designated payout method every month.

With Auto withdrawal, you can still manually transfer your balance from your payout preferences page.

Any payout hold on your account will interfere with the auto withdrawal process. If you add or edit your payout method within 5 days of the 5th of the month (i.e., the 1st), your balance payout lock will prevent our auto withdrawal. Don’t worry! You can manually pay out once your payout lock expires.
