If you host a paid podcast on Patreon and offer a free version on Spotify, Synced Feeds allows you to merge them into a seamless listening experience. This feature makes it easier for listeners to discover your content while ensuring paid members can access their exclusive episodes—all in one place.
Before you begin syncing your feeds, please make sure you have an existing show in your Podcasting and Audio settings on Patreon and that Spotify distribution is enabled. You’ll need access to your Spotify for Creators dashboard and be logged into the account for your show.

What is Synced Feeds?
If you host a paid podcast on Patreon and offer a free version on Spotify, they typically appear as separate shows. This can make it harder for listeners to find your content and limit visibility for your paid offerings. Synced Feeds helps by allowing you to:
- Combine your free and paid podcast feeds into one Spotify page
- Automatically match episodes between your free and paid versions
-
Show different content based on the listener’s status:
- Non-subscribers: see all free episodes, locked bonus content, and subtle prompts to upgrade to your paid subscription
- Paid subscribers: see all premium content, including bonus episodes and any free episodes that weren’t duplicated in the paid feed
This setup ensures free and paid listeners get the right experience while encouraging free listeners to upgrade.
Who Can Use Synced Feeds?
Synced Feeds is designed for creators who offer both free and paid versions of their podcast. If you’re a Patreon creator, here’s what you need to be eligible:
- Host your paid podcast on Patreon and distribute it to Spotify
- Claim both your free and paid podcasts in Spotify for Creators using the same Spotify account
- Don’t host your podcasts with Spotify for Podcasters—both your free and paid shows must be hosted elsewhere and distributed to Spotify
