When creating a post on desktop with Paid access selected, you'll see a draggable paywall in the body of your post. This lets you control which inline content — text, images, video, and audio inserted into your post body — is visible before and after the paywall.
How it works
- All inline content above the paywall is free to anyone and will be visible to everyone
- All inline content below the paywall is locked unless you have paid access (paid member or one-time purchase)
The paywall only applies to inline content in the post body. Your header media visibility is controlled separately by your Audience settings — for example, you can have a paid post with a locked header video, while text and inline images above the paywall in the body remain free to everyone. How to add a paywall to your post
- Click the Create button from the left sidebar navigation and select Post
- In the post settings on the right, select Paid access
- You'll see a draggable paywall appear in the body of your post
- Drag it to the position where you want paid content to begin
- Everything above the paywall will be visible to everyone — everything below will be locked
You can also insert a paywall while drafting a public post, which will turn it into a paid post. Click the + icon on a new line and select Paywall, then drag it to your desired position.
