My page has been taken down, what can I do?

  • Updated

Patreon’s Trust & Safety team takes reports of guidelines violations very seriously and treats each case with individual care. Whether you’re a creator or member, if you receive an email from the team that your Patreon account has been removed, you have two paths forward:

Option A: Appeal

When the Trust & Safety team removes your account, you have six months to appeal that decision. Here is how to file an appeal:

  1. Visit this page in our Help Center
  2. Under Please choose a request type below, select I have a question about Community Guidelines
  3. Input the email address associated with your Patreon account that was removed
  4. Under Please select one of the options below, select Appeal my account removal for a Community Guidelines violation
  5. Under Subject, type Appealing my Patreon account removal
  6. Under Description, detail your reasoning for filing the appeal
  7. Attach any supplemental evidence to support your appeal claim
  8. Click Submit

Option B: Start a new Patreon

If your Patreon account was removed and you would like to return to Patreon, after two months pass you can email guidelines@patreon.com, and we will review your request. For creators specifically, please also include details about your intended new project that would comply with our Community Guidelines. We take safety seriously on Patreon, so please allow us time to review your unique situation.

What happens to funds in a removed account?

Funds that had not been transferred off the account prior to removal will be placed on hold for up to 28 days while Patreon reviews and makes a decision on the appeal. This ensures that the process is carefully analyzed before any funds are released or further action is taken.
