Report content that violates community guidelines

  • Updated

Patreon’s Community Guidelines act as the guardrails detailing the sorts of behaviors that are permitted and prohibited on Patreon. We encourage you to review these guidelines and report any violations you encounter to help keep our community safe.

To report a creator or member for a guidelines violation:

  • Log in to your Patreon account and go to their Patreon page. From there, find the **more button (“...” 3 dots), which will present the option to report them.
  • You can also find the reporting tool on any creator’s post or member’s comment or message by clicking on the “...” button and selecting Report this content.

Gather and submit as much evidence as possible (e.g. screenshots, URLs, etc.) for the report. For videos, we recommend including a timestamp indicating where in the footage the violation occurred; including a transcript of the segment, if available, is helpful as well. This sort of documentation is crucial for Patreon’s Trust & Safety Team to assess the situation and take action if appropriate.

Note that the evidence you include in your report should be tied directly to the person you are reporting. For example, Patreon would not remove a creator based on the violative action of a fan unless the creator incited that behavior.

If we confirm that a guidelines violation has occurred, we will take appropriate action; however, details of our decision may not be shared with you.
