Deleting a payment method
Before you can delete a payment method, you'll need to let our system know what you'd like to do with any active memberships. You can either transfer your membership(s) to a new or existing payment method, or cancel your membership from the Active memberships page.
To delete a payment method:
- Hover of your profile image in the top right to open the "User menu."
- Click the "Manage memberships" link from the drop down menu.
- Click into "Payment Methods" from the top menu bar.

- Either click the "Transfer memberships" to move any active memberships to a new payment method, or visit this guide for help cancelling a membership before proceeding.

- After unlinking any memberships from the payment method, you can click the "Remove" button next to your payment method.
Important: Deleting the payment method before adding a new card or PayPal and transferring your memberships will delete your active memberships to creators. If this happens, you will need to become a patron to the creator again, after retrying your payment. This will not delete pending payments, or declined bills that were made when you were an active member.
