Connect your WordPress site to Patreon

  • Updated

Before you get started, the Patreon WordPress plugin requires the permalink structure to be set to anything other than plain. This can be done in Settings > Permalinks.

After this, make sure that you are already logged into your Patreon account before starting the setup wizard. Then, follow the steps below:

  1. To start the setup, head to Plugins > Add Plugin in your WordPress site and search for Patreon WordPress. Click on Install Now and Activate once the plugin has been installed, and select Activate

  2. After activating the plugin, you’ll be taken to the Patreon WordPress Settings page. Click on Let’s start
  3. Allow Patreon WordPress access to your creator campaign

  4. After this, your Patreon integration should be set up. You can additionally select if you want to sync your posts from Patreon

Follow our walkthrough article for Quickstart WordPress to start gating your content.

During this process, nothing on your site will be changed. Only the information needed to link your creator account will be saved.
