Track delivery with Benefits features

  • Updated

This article covers the Benefit Tracker alongside the Benefit Eligibility Status tool. As we continue to enhance our Benefits features, if you find the Benefit Eligibility Status tool in the Benefits tab, refer to our article on tracking your members’ benefit eligibility status for updated guidance.

If you haven't made any tiers or added any benefits to your tiers, we recommend that you first read through our article on How to set up paid tiers and benefits. Once you've added benefits to your tiers, you can start to track them.

Patreon’s benefit tools help you:

  • Track benefit eligibility: See how many members, both new and existing, have successfully paid and should receive benefits this month
  • Monitor upcoming renewals: See how many members haven’t been charged yet but have a renewal scheduled before the end of the month
  • Track delivery: Mark benefits complete as you deliver them to each member
  • Take action: Export a list or message specific groups of members

These tools support your workflow whether you deliver benefits as members are charged or wait until billing is complete for the month.

Please note that gifted members don't currently appear in the Benefits Tracker. Only members with an active payment attached to their account appear in your benefits tracking.

Check who’s eligible for benefits

The Benefit Eligibility Status shows which members are eligible to receive benefits for the month. By default, it shows monthly and annual members who’ve already paid for the current month.

View eligible members

  1. On Desktop, select Creator studio in the left-side navigation menu
  2. Click Audience from the sub-menu to open your Relationship manager
  3. Click the Benefit Eligibility Status button
  4. To narrow your results, filter by membership tier (optional)
  5. Click View to see members who are eligible for benefits this month

You can also switch the view to the previous month and download a CSV list of eligible members. This is especially helpful if you deliver benefits after all payments are processed or at the end of the month.

For example, if you're a creator who delivers benefits once a month, this tool can help you stay organized. If you want to deliver your benefit on the first of May, you can use the benefit delivery tool to pull a list of everyone who paid in April.

Member groups

The tool also groups members by their payment and renewal status, so you can better understand where they are in the billing cycle and plan your benefit delivery accordingly:

  • New members: Joined this month or rejoined after canceling
  • Continuing members: Ongoing monthly or annual members
  • Eligible soon: Members with renewals scheduled before the end of the month who haven’t been charged yet

Use Eligible soon to track upcoming renewals and plan ahead for how many members you may need to deliver benefits to, or how much income you should expect to receive throughout the month.

Download a list or message members

After clicking View on the current month or any of the additional breakdowns, you'll see a list of filtered members based on your selected preferences. You can download a CSV or Message members directly. Just select one or more members from the list, then choose the action you want. These options give you the flexibility to communicate with your members or fulfill benefits in a way that best suits your workflow.

Add tracking to a benefit

  1. On Desktop, click Creator studio from the left sidebar navigation
  2. Select Audience
  3. Go to the Benefits tab – benefits that you've added to your tiers will be listed here
  4. If you're not tracking your benefits yet, you'll see a section of Benefits not tracked, then click on the Add tracking button right next to the benefit
  5. You'll be asked how often members receive this benefit – choose from one-time or monthly, and click on the Add tracking button to confirm it

Check delivery status

Your benefits table includes a benefit title column and a status column:

  • If you've completed delivering benefits to all eligible members, the status will show you the number of members completed and have a green checkmark
  • If there are some members who are still owed a benefit, the status will show the number of members with a "due" status

Member benefit list

Click on a benefit to get a list of members who are due this benefit. The highest tier you offer this benefit and the delivery frequency (i.e., on a monthly or one-time basis) will be listed under the benefit name.

Here, you'll find your members' names, shipping addresses (if you've asked for this), pledge amount, and the benefit due date. You can mark individual members as complete using the Mark Complete feature. If you do big batch benefit deliveries, mark the entire member list complete by clicking the Mark # Complete button.

Click into the Completed section of a benefit for a list of members to whom you've delivered this benefit.

Want more information on a particular member? Click on a member's name to go directly to your Relationship manager.

From your Relationship manager, you can message your member, review payment history, check their Discord handle, and any notes you may keep about them (i.e., prefers my illustration postcards over my photo postcards).

Annual members

If you have members paying you annually, they'll appear on benefits lists as soon as their membership year starts. They will show up for all monthly recurring benefits associated with the tier they join; however, their year of membership will be paid in full on the date they joined.

You can learn about what to expect if you are in our annual membership beta here: Annual memberships creator overview.

Subscription billing

With subscription billing, there are a couple of ways that you can choose to deliver benefits to members:

  • You can deliver benefits to all members who are active at the time you're processing benefits
  • You can also deliver benefits at the start of each month to any member who has paid throughout the previous month

For example, if you typically mail a sticker on the 5th of each month to members who have paid by the 1st, you can mail the sticker on September 5 to all members who had a successful payment in August. On October 5, mail the September sticker to all members who made a successful payment in September.

The November 1, 2026 deadline to switch to subscription billing has passed. If your account is still on a legacy billing model, we’ll switch it automatically and email you once it’s done.

Key details depending on your legacy billing model:

  • Per-creation: Your billing will be paused after the switch. To resume, log in and review your new monthly tier prices
  • First-of-the-month: Nothing changes for your existing members. They’ll continue to be billed on the 1st of each month. New members are billed on the date they join
