Your updated creator page

  • Updated

The new creator page gives you more control over how your work is presented and how fans engage with it. Whether you're a podcaster, video creator, or artist, this design helps you put your brand front and center, curate your best work, and turn casual visitors into long-term community members.

With new customization tools, you can:

  • Showcase your creative world in a way that feels unmistakably you
  • Bring everything you create together into one cohesive home
  • Give fans a better experience with a page built for discovery and engagement
  • Highlight more than just posts — from collections to products to livestreams

What's new

Your creator page features a refreshed design and tools that make it easier to showcase your work and help fans connect with it faster.

Some key features:

  • Home tab as your landing page:
Fans arrive on a curated Home tab as their default view. The traditional chronological feed is still available under a dedicated Posts tab next to the Home tab.
  • Visual branding options:
Choose between a custom header image or a simple profile + gradient header, update your brand color, profile photo, and page name, all in the editor
  • Customizable content shelves:
Reorganize the way your posts are displayed and highlight what matters most — from recent posts to featured collections, livestreams, podcasts, or shop items
  • Custom links at the top of your page:
Add and reorder navigation links at the top of your page to guide fans directly to your merch, events, collections, featured posts, or any external site you want to spotlight

This new experience helps fans quickly understand the value of your Patreon, making it easier for them to explore, join, and engage.

How to get started

The new creator page is available to all creators, but it won't go live until you publish it for your fans. You're in control of when to make the switch.

  1. Click Get Started on the module in your dashboard to open the editor
  2. Go to your Creator Dashboard and click on Edit Page
  3. Explore the new layout, customize your shelves and branding, and preview how it looks in real time
  4. When you're ready, click Publish to make your new page live

Once you publish the new creator page, it becomes your permanent layout. There isn't a way to switch back to the old design.

Fans will continue to have the same membership access and benefits they already do — the difference is that now they'll experience it in a refreshed, more engaging layout.

Your Default Layout and Page Navigation

When fans visit your page, they'll land on the Home tab — a curated overview of your work. This is the default layout, designed to help fans quickly explore and engage with your content. The traditional chronological feed is still available under a dedicated Posts tab right next to the Home tab.

This layout and navigation are just a starting point. You can customize both — reorder, remove, or replace content shelves, and add custom navigation links at the top of your page — to best reflect your creative vision. If you're a new creator, certain shelves will automatically appear once you've added enough content.

Customizing your creator page

To customize your creator page, go to the Dashboard tab from the left-hand menu and click Edit Page in the top right corner. This opens your editing panel, where you can adjust both the look and structure of your page.

Customization is best done on a desktop, but the public and member experience is available on both desktop and mobile web.

From here, you can customize three key areas:

  • Header Details – Personalize your page with branding, profile details, social links, and visibility options
  • Layout – Organize how your work is displayed with customizable shelves
  • Navigation menu – Add and reorder custom links at the top of your page to guide fans to your merch, events, collections, featured posts, or external sites

Each of these options helps you shape how fans experience your page — and reflect your consolidated creative identity more clearly.

Page Details

Personalize your page with a page name, profile photo, two custom header image options, brand color, about section, social links, and control over which stats are visible.

For adding and updating a header image — you have two options:

  • Use a custom cover photo (2500x1000px). For best results, place key visuals on the right side of the image and avoid text. Since your page title and About section appear on the left, this ensures important elements stay visible across devices
  • Use your profile photo as the header, and Patreon will auto-fill the background with your brand color

Page Layout

Customize the layout of your page to showcase your best work. Rearrange, add, or remove shelves to guide fans through your content your way:

  • Rearrange shelves:
Use drag-and-drop to move existing shelves around your page. You can adjust the order of posts, collections, shop items, and more to guide fans through your content the way you want

  • Remove shelves:
Click on a shelf and select the Trash can to remove it from your page
  • Add a new shelf:
Click Add a section to include additional types of content on your page. You can choose from posts, collections, podcasts, and products — and decide exactly what to highlight in each section

You can also choose to select posts to show up in a Featured content section. Your featured post will default to your most recent post, but you can select any existing post, product, collection, or podcast to feature at any time, depending on how you want to present your work.

Page Navigation

Add custom navigation links to the top of your page to guide fans directly to what matters most, from your merch store and events to featured posts, collections, or any external site.

  • Reorder tabs:
Use drag-and-drop to move existing tabs around your page. You can adjust the order to guide fans through your content the way you want. You cannot rearrange the Home tab.
  • Add a new tab:
Click Add to create a new navigation item. Enter a name for your tab, select a link type from the dropdown, and add your link in the Link to field
  • Remove or edit a tab:
Click the three dots menu on a tab to edit its details or remove it from your page. Note that only tabs you've created can be removed — default tabs cannot be deleted, but can be reordered (except for the Home tab, which stays static).

Preview your page

When you're happy with how everything looks, click Publish to make your changes live. Until you publish, fans will continue to see your previous layout.

As you make changes, a live preview on the right-hand side shows how your page will look to fans.

At the top of the preview, you can switch between different audience views — Paid member, Free member, or Public — and toggle between Web and Mobile views to see how your page looks on various devices.

Once you're happy with how everything looks, don't forget to click Publish in the top right corner to save your changes.

FAQ

  • No. Once your creator page is published in the current design, it becomes the default experience for fans.
  • No. The new creator page is optional. If you don't choose to publish, your current public page will remain exactly the same.
  • No. Choosing to update to the new creator page does not affect your fees. It is not considered an unpublish/re-publish event, so you will keep your current fee structure (including legacy rates, if applicable). Learn more about Creator Fees here.
  • We'll apply a default layout using your recent posts and collections, and your page will show the default navigation tabs. You can update your layout and navigation tabs anytime from the page editor.
  • The chronological feed isn't going away, it now lives in its own dedicated Posts tab, right next to the new default Home tab. You can still share the direct link with fans, and members will still be able to scroll through your content in order.
  • Yes – your current members will now see the new experience, but their content access remains exactly the same. This update doesn't change what they can see based on their membership level.

What is changing is how your page is presented: the new layout is designed to improve fan engagement and make it easier for both current and potential members to discover your work. So while your members' benefits stay the same, their overall experience will feel more polished and dynamic.

  • Yes, all of your fans will see this new page.
  • Nope. You can keep posting just like you always have — this update only changes how your page is presented to fans.
  • Only tabs you've created can be removed. Default tabs — like Posts or Home — are part of the core page structure and can't be deleted. You can, however, reorder most of them using drag-and-drop (except for the Home tab, which always stays in place).
  • To help your cover photo display well across devices, we recommend placing key visuals toward the right half of the photo and avoiding text when possible. Since your page title and about section appear on the left, this layout ensures your most important elements stay visible no matter where fans view your page.

Recommended specs: 2500x1000 pixels, JPEG or PNG, under 3MB.

You also have the option to keep things simple by using your square profile photo paired with a theme color for your header, instead of uploading a full length image.

  • Your tagline is still used in search and discovery, but your About section is now front and center on your public page. We recommend using your tagline to help new fans find you — focus on keywords that describe your work and niche. Then, use the first few lines of your About section to hook visitors with something clear, catchy, and true to you. Fans can always click to expand the full About section if they want to learn more.
  • While there's not currently a way to manually set where the preview cuts off, you can rewrite the first few lines of your About section to make the preview feel more intentional. We recommend starting with 1–2 punchy sentences that capture your value or hook new fans. Visitors can always click to expand and read more.
  • Not at all! The updated page is designed with fans and members in mind, so your creator dashboard won't look dramatically different. One change you might notice is the removal of the cover photo at the top to make room for more insights and posts. To see how your page looks to fans, just open it in an incognito window or click Edit Page to view the preview options there.
  • Your cover photo is still there for all your fans and members, it just no longer appears in your creator dashboard. We removed it from the dashboard view to give you more space to work and easier access to the tools you need.

You can preview how your public page looks (with your cover photo) anytime under Edit Page or at patreon.com/customize. You can also open your page in an incognito tab to see it exactly as visitors do.

  • Right now, the Patreon app features your profile photo as the main image, which is separate from your banner image. If you'd like to update your profile photo, you can do that anytime within Edit Page.
  • The new Edit Page is now your main hub for updating your post layout, cover photo, profile photo, brand color, and About section.

If you're looking for settings from the previous editor, like your Welcome Notes or adjusting your URL, click the three dots next to Edit Page and select Page Details.

  • Cover photos support JPEG and PNG files. For the best results, choose a clear, high-quality image that represents you and your work.
  • To keep the design focused on your creative work, tiers aren't shown on the main page. Instead, the spotlight stays on your featured posts, header, and other key visuals that help fans instantly understand what you create.

Your tiers (including tier images) are still easy to find under Membership Options, where fans can click through to a dedicated page to explore everything you offer. This way, your main page highlights your work, while your tiers have their own space to shine.
